Problem
A lack of UI consistency, patterns, and inaccessibility caused friction when using the platform. Built originally as a spreadsheet, the product team was tasked to quickly automate the features, which resulted in a poor user experience.
solution
If we can create a consistent design system, and use common behavioral patterns, then we can reduce the time it takes our payroll team to complete a task.
results
100% of members of our internal payroll team said the product was easier to use and find relevant information.
Also updated the brand colours and typography to be compliant with WCAG standards.
